Do you offer Automated Trading?
Yes. We not only offer a world-class infrastructure which houses some of the best automated trading systems already, we also offer programs such as Predator Pro which can help a regular trader automate his or her strategies. Users can either connect their system to our infrastructure, or our software team can also work with a trader to customize an automated solution for their needs.
Do you offer Remote Trading?
Yes. When the internet picked up steam in the late 90s, we tailored our internal communications to work well as Internet traffic, the quote speed and reliability our software has over the Internet is superb. Without going into the details about low-latency packet algorithms and data transfer, let's just say remote trading has and will always be a cornerstone of ECHOtrade.
Do you offer Direct Access?
YES! That is one of the main reasons for becoming a proprietary trader, we have direct connections to all ECNs and Exchanges and every order is sent right to where you preference in the software. We expend a lot of resources making sure that when a trader clicks to take stock from an ECN or Specialist Book that order is filled as fast as possible. Do you offer Training?
We do not have scheduled monthly beginner classes like you may find elsewhere, instead of churning people through a canned class we offer a more personal, hands on training. We really do not feel that a person stands a good chance of becoming a profitable trader by sitting in a seminar type environment or reading a book. The best chance for true success we feel comes from sitting next to and being mentored by a successful trader. How long have you been in business?
ECHOtrade began as Van Buren Securities in 1997. Through a merger with ECHOtrade, we kept the ECHOtrade name as it stood for reliability, redundancy, and cutting edge technology.
Does ECHOtrade plan to open an office in my area?

Do you require a Series 7 license to trade at ECHOtrade?

Can anyone take the Series 7? How do I sign up?
You must be a member or employee of a sponsoring broker-dealer firm in order to take the exam. ECHOtrade will sponsor eligible candidates.
What is required to study for the Series 7?
The expensive and time consuming route is to take a class to prepare for the exam, but we have found a higher success rate with the people that just pay $249 for the Series & books and CD-ROM. This course can prepare you to pass the Series 7 exam so long as you read the book and take all the practice exams on the CD-ROM. Here is the link: Series 7 Books & CD-ROM
Do we require Continuing Education for the Series 7?
Yes, the exchange now requires it. The good news is that it is relatively easy and only takes a matter of hours once every two years.
How long does it take to open an account?
5 - 7 days once all the paperwork has been received by our staff. Please be very careful though to follow all the directions so it is filled out properly, if not it can delay the process substantially as we will have to send it back to you to correct any errors.
